Explanation of “one-time” Fraxel Re:Pair treatment
Fraxel Re:Pair (done in one treatment) will help mitigate skin laxity, superficial and deep wrinkles, enlarged pores, dermatheliosis ( sun damage), and uneven coloration of the skin.
The procedure will leave “isles” of healthy skin in between the very small micron wounds the treatment will produce in all the areas being treated.
This will generate collagen reparation, skin tightening, elimination of the pigmentation caused by cumulative sun damage. Also it will help diminish the superficial and more deep wrinkles in the perioral (around the mouth), crows feet, frown lines, neck and chest areas.
Dra. Sheinfeld will prescribe an antiviral and an antibiotic beginning 12 hours prior the procedure, twice a day orally for 7 days after the procedure as a prophylaxis for herpes virus infection or bacterial infection.
The procedure is done under sedation, so you wont feel any pain. When you awake, you willl have the treated areas covered by a wound dressing.
You wont feel any pain, but you are going to be red, swollen and exuding inflammatory fluid for 24 hours.
The doctor will see you again the following day, will remove the wound dressing and clean your face.
You will then just need to apply vaseline on the treated areas for the next 4 days. After that you have to apply sunscreen every 2 hours every day, and a moisturizing cream.
Prior to having this procedure, Dra. Sheinfeld will need to know your clinical history to be sure there are no contraindications for performing this procedure on you.
You can email Dra. Sheinfeld with any further questions at drsheinfeld@gmail.com and contact Didi with this handy contact form to schedule an appointment for your Fraxel Re:Pair procedure.
