Here is a great way to consult with our dermatologist on all of your dermatological issues via email. Thermage (Dr. Sheinfeld is one of two Dermatologists in Costa Rica specifically trained and certified to do this procedure) - This is a radio frequency treatment for skin tightening (non-invasive).

Dr. Sheinfeld's office just got the new Fraxel Re:pair laser machine. The first one in Latin America!!!!

For the face only   - $2500

For the neck and chest area - $3000

For face, chest and neck   - $4000

These prices include the anesthesiologist, but do NOT include all medication to be used post-treatment and transportation to and from the recovery retreat for all visits to Dr. Sheinfeld's office pre and post-treatment. This is a one-session treatment, unlike other Fraxel lasers which require five to six sessions (most common in the US).

As of 2010, Dra. Sheinfeld is offering to bring the Fraxel machine to the OR on the day of your surgery and will do only the perioral area (around the mouth and chin) for $1100 or the eye area for $1100. If you would like both the eye and perioral area at the same time the cost will be $1600. This includes the extra time the anesthesiologist takes to stay for this procedure after the plastic surgery procedure with Dr. Lev.

Of course the advantage to doing the Fraxel at the same time as your face lift or other plastic surgery is that you are under the general anesthesia for the procedure which is quite invasive. Unfortunately, you can only have the Fraxel done around the perioral area and eye area at the same time as your face lift. If you want to do the full face you must make a separate appointment with Dra Sheinfeld to go to her office no less than two weeks after your plastic surgery. Therefore you'd need to extend your stay in the country another two weeks so you can be there post Fraxel procedure.

*Please note: Dr. Sheinfeld prefers cash or traveller's checks but will accept Visa or MasterCard for an extra 4% of your bill since that is what the banks charge her for credit card usage. Of course you're better off paying with cash or traveller's checks. She will not accept bank checks or cashier's checks or money orders.
